Robert Edward Perryman

Robert Edward Perryman also known as “Bro” was born on May 13, 1958 in Schlater, Mississippi to proud parents, Charlie Ann Perryman and Willie Cooper. 

Robert was raised in the Baptist faith and was baptized at a very early age at Zion Watts  Church in Sunnyside, Mississippi and was educated in the Leflore County School District attending T Y Fleming Elementary and Amanda Elzy High School. 

Robert decided to enlist in the United States Army after graduating high school, serving his country from March of 1979 until his Honorable Discharge in September of 1989.  After Robert’s discharge, he met his partner, Edna Walker in 1991.  Together they welcomed his eldest daughter, Rosilyn Walker in 1993.  In 2001, Robert welcomed his second daughter, Kaychianna Perryman and son Isaiah Perryman in 2004 with his partner, Aileen Slowiak.

Robert loved his family and was truly loved by many, especially his three children.

Robert loved to ride his bike all over the city of Chicago.  He was very handy and enjoyed the challenge of almost any home improvement task yet his favorite pastime was fishing.  

Robert fell asleep in death on Wednesday, September 14, 2022 at !0:42 a.m. in the care of the medical staff of the Center for Care and Discovery at the University of Chicago Hospital.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Ann Perryman and Willie Cooper,  and his long time partner, Aileen Slowiak.

Robert's love and memories will forever be cherished by his children, Rosilyn Walker of Chicago, Illinois, Kaychianna Perryman and Isaiah Perryman of Chicago, Illinois; one grandson, Sebastian Perryman of Chicago, Illinois; his sisters, Sallie Fiffer and Mildred Cooper of Mississippi, Barbara Williams and Mattie Mae Sanders of Illinois, Mary Perryman of Ohio, Mary Jane and Jeanette Cooper of Florida, Leomie Cooper of Michigan and Rosetta Cooper of Indiana; his brothers, Jimmy Cooper of Illinois and Billy Cooper of Mississippi, his sisters-in-law, Martha Perryman of Illinois and Daisy Cooper of Ohio: one uncle, Will Hudson, Jr. of Ohio and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.                                                            

 Robert  will truly be missed!
