Paul Edward Allen

Paul Edward Allen was born on April 25, 1949 in Birmingham, Alabama to proud parents, Sidney James and Julia Densmore-Allen.

Paul accepted Christ at an early age and was baptized at Ephesus Seventh Day Adventist Church.  He was educated in the Birmingham and Bessemer, Alabama Public Schools System. 

Paul met and married his wife, Annie Ruth Owens in 1968.  They later migrated to Chicago, Illinois in search of greater opportunities.  He diligently sought and was able to successfully gain employment with the Ford Motor Company where he went on to work for many years.

Paul enjoyed and was very passionate about cooking, coin collecting and horror movies.  He was an avid fisherman and was very well known for his outgoing, jovial and quite mischievous personality.  His laughter would brighten and make your day.  Paul was very proud of and dedicated to his children and grandchildren.  They were truly his “heartbeats” and loved them dearly.  He displayed that affection as he doted on them all the time!  

Paul made his transition peacefully at home on Sunday, July 4, 2021 at 11:10 p.m.

Paul is preceded in death by his parents, Sidney James and Julia Densmore-Allen; his wife, Annie Ruth; two (2) sisters, Ms. Frankie Dee Allen, Mrs. Alberta Copeland and a brother, Mr. George Lee Allen. 

Paul’s love and memories will forever be cherished by his three (3) daughters, Pearlene and Paula Allen and Imani Reed; three (3) grandchildren, Selena and Sequoyah Shephard and Iyannah Britton; two (2) sisters, Juanita Pryor of Detroit, Michigan and Doris Horton of Birmingham, Alabama and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

Paul will truly be missed!
