Patti Jo Robinson
Patti Jo was born on November 24, 1956 in Cleveland, Ohio to Mabel and Willie Joe Robinson. In her younger years, Patti attended Paderewski Elementary and Robert Burns Middle School. She graduated from Farragut Career Academy in 1974where she excelled in tumbling and swimming.
Patti Jo confessed Christ as her Lord and Savior at the early age of 14 at Coston Chapel Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Arnie Rayford.
Patti Jo worked for Brach’s Candy Company for nearly 32 years. She was the backbone of the company and led her team with passion and professionalism. Once her tenure was over at Brach’s, she worked for Rachel’s Bus Company. Again, she became the center of the company and led with excellence. After 9 years with Rachel’s, she decided to stay home to help care for her mother. Not only did Patti Jo care for her mother, she also became the “Guru” of babysitting! Patti baby-sat for her nieces and for her daughter.
Patti Jo also dabbled in comedy! She always had a quick punch line and had jokes for days! Her laugh was contagious and her smile was infectious. Patti Jo battled Lupus and departed this life on March 7, 2020. Her father, niece Terrece, and equally funny and amazing mother, Ms. Mabel, preceded her in death.
Patti Jo leaves to cherish her memories to one outstanding daughter, April Robinson, one brilliant sister, Lillian Nichols (Ahmed), one savvy brother, Donald Robinson, six grandchildren; Diaunte Shields, Brianna Shields, Sky Shields, Deanna Shields, Tashera Shields and Alana Shields, two great grand baby boys; Phillip Davis and Cameron Smith, three nieces; Tonja (Dwane), Tempest and Joy, three nephews; Edward, Donald, Jr., and Kelly (Kadesha) and a host of great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
