Michael Steven Adams was born on September 15, 1954 to the proud parents Henry and Louise (Morris) Adams of Chicago, Illinois.

Michael affectionately known as Kasim was born the ninth of ten children and was educated at Waller High School.

Michael met Loretta Finch in the early 2000’s and they later wed on January 3, 2016.

Michael worked at United Coatings Painting Company for many years.

Kasim was a man who always made time for everyone.  He put family first; as a loving and devoted father and grandfather he truly enjoyed spending time with his granddaughter.

Kasim was known for being kind, charming and verbally ruthless; if need be! 

Kasim loved to dance, gather amongst family and friends and watch sports.  Through his many friendships and acquaintances he had the pleasure of impacting many lives.

Michael was preceded in death by his wife, Loretta (Finch) Adams, both parents, Henry and Louise Adams, his brothers, William Benjamin, Anthony Adams and sisters, Vergie Dockery and Georgette Benjamin.

Michael fell asleep in death on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at 9:47 a.m. in the comfort of his home surrounded by family and friends.

Michael’s love and fond memories will forever be cherished by his son, Michael Pruitt (Mike-Mike); his daughters, Dena Lawrence, Dianna Adams (Fatcake), Kashima Adams (Tima); granddaughter, Kamya Marion and his siblings, Henry Morris, James Adams, Christopher Adams, Kathleen Jimenez and a host of nieces, nephews other family and friends.

Michael will TRULY be missed…
