Obituary

Ernest William Cassanova was born on February 8, 1986 to parents Ernesto and Cynthia Cassanova. His elementary education began at Bethel Primary School, and he completed 7^th and 8^th grade at Wentworth Junior High School. He attended Thornton Fractional North High School where he received his diploma in 2004.  Throughout his childhood and teenage years, Ernest was a member of Ingleside Community Church of the Nazarene with his family. At age 11 he accepted Jesus as his Lord and Savior and was baptized into the fellowship of the Holy Spirit. He was also later baptized as an adult while residing in Burlington, IA. Ernest was often described as a humble, mellow and laid back young man. He was a hardworking man that always took care of his family. His personality and quick wit were fueled by his intelligence. He was often referred to as a “gentle giant”. He stood a tall 6 foot 6 inches and some might have been intimidated by his stature. But once you spoke with him, you soon learned those feelings of intimidation were foolish. Ernest loved his family. He loved his fianceé and children. He had a huge heart and always wanted to help the people he loved. He pursued different interests in life searching for his calling, such as: high school football, auto mechanics and trucking. Videography and music production were his passion at the time of his passing. Ernest is survived by his parents, Ernesto and Cynthia, his children Caleb, Aniya and Cayden, his fianceé and mother of his children, Chantal, his sisters Jasmine (Charles) and Corin (Denard),  and nephew Josiah. He is also survived by aunts, uncles, numerous cousins and a host of friends. As evidenced here today, Ernest touched many lives and was loved by many. We are convinced that he will be eternally with his heavenly Father. Let not his death be in vain; choose Christ today and our reunion with Ernest will be guaranteed. Tomorrow may be too late. Until our promised reunion, may his soul rest in peace.
